The Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) prohibits recreational drone users from flying their aircraft higher than 120 metres (and within 5.5 kilometres of an airport). These regulations are in place to minimise the risk of collisions between drones and other aircraft, and to protect people and property on the ground.
Flying over people, in highly populated areas or residential neighbourhoods is also prohibited, as is an active drone being within 30 metres of any person, animal, or building.
The drone has to remain in line of sight at all times, and you’re only allowed to fly one at a time (no matter how good you are at multitasking). We provide the extra security to keep everything in order.
Aspiring drone photographers must be savvy to the conditions and the restrictions before investing in the drone itself. With so many options on the market, research is required to identify the best models – taking into account range, camera quality, battery life, ease of control, and more.
If this all sounds like a lot of work, leave the worry to us.
A pro knows the best places to fly a drone, has access to high-quality, expensive equipment, and has the years of experience to ensure your time is used most effectively to get the best possible shots.
